#28: Road to Unemployment
In April 2009 I was hit by the recession, and lost my job. After spending some time in Europe with my family I returned to Alberta and decided to pick up motorcycle riding after eleven years of two wheeled abstinence.
One of my favourite past-times became riding through Kananaskis Country, which was only a half hour ride away from my home back when I lived in Calgary.

The bike of choice on the day the photo was taken, was a Honda Silverwing scooter, which I liked a lot for its long distance capabilities. The long straight roads in Alberta are certainly true cruiser territory.
This picture is absolutely beautiful! It makes you excited to see what lies ahead, while the road delivers you right into the landscape.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot!
I miss driving through the foothills of Alberta.
ReplyDeleteI always enjoyed driving out to Calgary to see my mom. Well, once I got past the Revelstoke/Golden area it was a nice drive.
Thanks for jogging my memory.
