Open up your eyes and see the brand new day
The clear blue sky and brightly shining sun
Open up your ears and hear the breezes say
Everything that's cold and gray is gone
Taste the wind and smell the flowers' sweet perfume
Open up your mind and let the light shine in
The earth has been reborn and life goes on.
Spring lyrics by John Denver
Life is good!

Have a wonderful ride!
ReplyDeleteI'm still working on my bathroom project -:(
Oh no, seriously? Need help?
DeleteVery nice, glad you could get out and enjoy the sunshine. It looks much, much drier up north than it does in Oregon, it'll be weeks/months before we dry out. I'm hoping for a warm, dry May.
ReplyDeleteIt has been rainy until it stopped about two days ago, but it sure will be back with a vengeance.
DeleteAwesome pictures Sonja. I am glad you two got out for a ride.
ReplyDeleteWe finally saw some sunshine and just a little bit of snow is left out back on the deck. Should be gone today.
Well, at least we didn't get much snow over here, lots of rain though.
DeleteAawww...sunshine and blue skies and open road. What a great mix. Love the last image with the sunburst.
ReplyDeleteThanks, I found the last pic turned out unexpectedly interesting as well.
DeleteSpectacular photos of what looks like a spectacular day - glad the sun is starting to shine in the west ... I hope we get it back again here in the east.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, it feels so good to ride in the sun for a change.
DeleteSonja:
ReplyDeleteyou mean . . . while I was slaving at work, you took the day off and went riding ?
somehow this just doesn't sound fair

Riding the Wet Coast
Exactly, Bob. Carpe diem. The boss was out of town, and I skipped work (well I will have to make up for it next week...).
DeleteLove the first picture, I can't wait to see views like that.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beauty day! I took off at 10:00 and rode all day with 2 girlfriends. It was amazing! Spring is here!
ReplyDeleteGlad you got out...seems to have been a log time in coming. Not that i can talk as summer has been pretty average over here. Roll on summer for you!
ReplyDeleteSkipping work for a nice sunny ride....nothing wrong with that.

Sonja,
ReplyDeleteJohn Denver's song was appropriate a week ago, but the more accurate song for these parts is "Snowbound" by Donald Fagen:
"We hit the street with visors down, with our thermasuits sealed up tight!"
Tom
Sonja,
ReplyDeleteLove the sunburst. I can imagine how surprised and pleased you were that it turned out at all...and, then to have been interesting was a real bonus. Glad you were able to get in some miles.
Thanks for the share.

Oh, wow. I absolutely LOVE that last shot. All the pics are good, but that last one is a real beauty.
