Different schedule or adverse weather conditions or other odds such as our trip to Germany or the woman flu kept us from riding together this year. But finally we made it. The temperature gauge on Bella showed no more than 4C (39F), but what the heck.
Although temporarily put in hibernation mode the scooters woke up on first push of the button. The roads were still wet and slippery with debris from the most recent windstorm. The parking lot was empty. So we used up all the space for ourselves.
It was no more than the usual quick 'after work around the block' trip. It got chilly real quick, and there was a stiff breeze. But it felt so good to be out together again.
Could it be spring?

Looks like a nice day there, just can't tell from the photos how cold it was.
ReplyDeleteThere is still fresh snow on the mountains...
DeleteSonja your pictures are beautiful! It still is darn cold, springs is taking its sweet time getting here.
ReplyDeleteThanks Dar, last year I was already playing outside a lot more.
DeleteNow that looks just beautiful. Absolutely love the last photo of the sun peaking through the clouds. Glad that you were able to get out and enjoy some time in the saddle.
ReplyDeleteThanks, one precious moment of sunset and the (my) world is at peace.
DeleteBeautiful. I can just feel being there.
ReplyDeleteThought of you when I took the picture sunset and the clouds.
DeleteBeautiful photos Sonja. I too really love the last photo the best.
ReplyDeleteGlad you two were able to get out for a ride. We are hoping to get out today. We'll cross our fingers the rains stay away.
Had plans for Saturday but drained again in rain and light snowfall in the morning.
DeleteArgl ... now I'm getting cabin fever - rain since about a week here ... ;-)
ReplyDeleteA whole week? Poor Guido. This is why we ride in the rain up here... helps with the cabin fever.
DeleteStunning photos, especially love the last one as well. Glad to hear you got a ride, even a short one. Hopefully the temp will rise soon.
ReplyDeleteI so hope the same. It was just over zero C (33F) this morning.
DeleteBeautiful pictures. But as the others said, it still looks cold. Only a few more days until Spring, right?
ReplyDeleteThe calendar says we should almost be there but I can't see it happening just yet.
DeleteSonja,
ReplyDeleteI like the first photo. I like the scooter's positioning and, of course, the background is pretty good :)
I even like better that this outing means the flu-bug has let go of you, yay!

Thanks Keith, indeed the bug has let go of me, and I am back on two wheels again.
DeleteSo glad you guys got a ride in, and it looks like a lovely day. Blue skies belie the cold temps, but we know the truth. We have to grab these little gems of opportunity when they are given to us. Come on Spring!
ReplyDeleteGood to see you guys are riding again :)
ReplyDeleteThirty nine? You people are hardy souls! It is absolutely gorgeous there. We'll have to come up with something like an exchange student program where we alternate visiting each other's "backyard."
ReplyDeleteYour post is very nice, i really like it. According to me this weather conditions is the best for the traveling. Riders like to ride its bike on this weather conditions.
