A Scooter Trip in the Make
The passionate scooterist and professional photographer Sergei from Calgary might be delighted to read that our scooters will be put to work on the Lillooet Loop shortly (about 600km).
We will be traveling counterclockwise via Hwy 7 East to Hope, then taking Hwy 1 North to Lillooet before riding Southwest passing Whistler on the most picturesque Route 99 a.k.a. Sea to Sky Highway.
Yes, my 49cc is a load of fun, but I'll never get invited to a ride like this...I'd like to be about 6 inches taller and 15 pounds heavier. Of muscle, of course. Then I could more confidently handle a bigger and heavier scooter. Next lifetime.
this was the only bridge across the Fraser River before they build the new "Bridge of the 17 Camels"
Suggestion: If you are not heading north to Cache Creek you are missing Painted Canyon and as you approach Lillooet you will see the most beautiful views of the Fraser Canyon. I would suggest you cross the "Bridge of the 17 Camels" and head East towards Pavillion for a few miles to check it out before turning around to head back on the Duffey Lake Road
Nice! I used to follow a blog of someone who lives in Lillooet. Beautiful area. And taking to scooters will be exciting.
ReplyDeleteThanks! It will be quite different than riding my Harley, but I am looking forward to it.
Deletehehe .. have fun Sonja :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Brenda!

ReplyDeleteEnjoy the trip!
Martha, we have a few vertically challenged people in our scooter club. Some ride 50cc, some dare to ride 250 or more.
DeleteBut there are some rides that are tough on 50cc, not that these can't be done, they are just taking longer.
The club however takes care of those riders as well and organize rides that accommodate their power.
And I very much like Sergei's photographs! Thanks for that link.
ReplyDeleteWelcome, his pictures are eyecandy.
DeleteFun! That is a good way to prepare for your trip of being in the saddle all day ( even if you won't be on Rover for this trip).
ReplyDeleteLooking forward to your ride report and pictures.
The scooter is just fine for these shorter trips. Rover is for the big mileage ;-)

ReplyDeleteI have stayed in Lillooet several times. Check out the museaum if it is open, and also visit the "Hanging Tree"

and also take a photo of your scooter in front of the "Old Bridge"
