Some 380 million years ago a subtropical sea covered the area creating a mighty fossil reef, which is today known as Gerolsteiner Dolomites.
Several hiking trails lead along geological as well as historical features presenting an ocean-less reef, ancient lava flows, an ice age cave, crater lakes, and a tamed cold water geyser.
There will also be some Roman and some medieval content, as well as some wildlife.

Faszinierende Landschaften zeigst du da, das hätte uns da sicher auch gefallen. Wie wohl hätte Loki reagiert auf die Wölfe? Das wäre etwas ganz neues gewesen für ihn.

Hallo Werner, die Hunde, die bei der Fütterung der Wölfe dabei waren, standen mit eingeklemmten Schwanz ängstlich hinter ihren Herrchen und Frauchen. LG SonjaM

ReplyDeleteHi Geoff, I am also still surprised by the features Germany has to offer... The wolves are in fact contained but they roam free in a wide area, hence it was quite the privilege to be able to spot them.
