One of the good things of living in the Black Forest is that you can start your hikes right from your door!
With the help of the very nice komoot-App I planned a little trip around our village and started climbing the hill on the other side of the town.
I was rewarded with a nice view over the next valley which actually is included in Sonja's daily commute to work.
But I had to continue my way up the hill. My journey was made easier by some good progressive rock on my iPhone which also gave me directions via the App. Isn't technology a wonderful thing?
Another view over the valley. In the far distance I could actually see the river Rhine and France!
The reason why the Black Forest got it's name!
Finally it's going downhill again!
Back in the valley...
Still going strong :-)
THIS is finally OUR valley with a view on our village.
Back in our village. For some reason this Mary-statue has a mysterious magic.
Another nice function of the App is that it records your hike. If your iPhones battery has enough power, of course. Pretty proud to have done almost 13km, I am now resting lazy on the sofa!
