Over 1,700 hectares of layered karst pillars, built from shells and calcium deposits, shaped by nature, and thus creating a mystical stone garden.
The El Torcal de Antequera nature reserve is one of the most impressive karst landscapes in Europe and has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2016. These surreal limestone formations in the province of Málaga were formed over 150 to 200 million years ago by the lifting of the seabed and subsequent erosion.
We spent several hours exploring these amazing rock formations.
On our way back to our glamping tent we get some groceries, again marvel at the low prices of fruit and veggies, and spend the evening enjoying the stunning view over the Alora valley.

Beeindruckende Felsformationen gibt es also auch in Spanien. Sie sind zwar nicht rötlich, aber teils sind doch einige Ähnlichkeiten auszumachen zu einer uns bekannten Gegend :-)

Diese Felsformationen haben uns sehr begeistert. Und in jedem Steinhaufen konnte man irgendetwas erkennen: Ungeheuer, Tiere oder auch menschliche Figuren. Es machte richtig Spaß, die Phantasie spielen zu lassen. LG SonjaM
