A Triumpher

I love my neighbourhood especially for the people it seems to attract. We were just returning from a brisk walk along the inlet, and had done some grocery shopping when I stopped to admire a spotless black Triumph Scrambler.

My checking out the motorcycle didn't go unnoticed and soon the bike's owner, Richard and I were in deep conversation about riding, idiot cagers, and the passion that is motorcycling. The gentleman rides two up with the wife, and puts significant mileage on the bike. The only obvious modifications are the engine bars and the skid plate, everything else is stock. Once again I am smitten by the looks of this Scrambler. I feel that I need to return to my own 'project bike' soon, and scramble it a little more.

Thanks, Richard for the chat, and keep the rubber side down!

  1. You meet the nicest people on a Triumph. I like the looks of that skid plate. Wonder if you'll need one of those on Rover.

  2. Thanks for the comments on my blog. I've enjoyed reading through yours. It's great to read another blogger who's passionate about their own biking and the adventures of others too.

  3. That is a pretty little Triumph. I love the lines the pipes give it. It's nice that it is enjoyed so thoroughly.

I have always liked the look of the Triumphs, esp the Striple but they are all more suited for Naked riding. I told my self a while back that my next bikes had to have luggage options. Perhaps one of these for around the city or day trips as a spare (Wink)

  5. One of my instructors when I took the MSF course had a Scrambler. He was particularly helpful to me. I've had a soft spot in my heart for Scramblers ever since. I'm with Lori, I love the pipes on this bike.

  6. Cool looking bike. I like the straight pipes up high. I'm partial to Scramblers, though they are too tall for me. Even the Bonnies are a stretch for my short legs.

Projects/farkling/scramblering...good stuff that. Can't wait for the post! :)
