We haven't had the best of weather lately. A warm weather front left us with rain and overcast skies. Along with temperatures just above freezing point and high humidity it reminded me of a typical winter at British Columbia's we(s)t coast.
Looks nice but I'm far enough away not to need to learn to skate. By the way, give Merkel my regards and ask if she has any interest in emigrating? We could use her help.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to, Michael, but you'll understand that Europe might need her and her likes, too...
DeleteReally nice pictures SonjaM!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dom.
Delete"Snirt"... I love it--now to introduce it to the American lexicon. :-)
ReplyDeleteWinter in the drought-prone West has really been a winter this year. Some complain, but I don't understand it: I'm looking forward to having water for our needs and healthy landscapes through which to ride.
I agree, Ry. We also had an unusually dry December, and the water that comes with the snow is more than welcomed by farmers.
DeleteI know the fast withdraw of winter may not be ideal but The images are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Lori. I really came to like this winter, not too cold and with just the right portion of white stuff.
DeleteThat looks as slippery as all get out, but sure is pretty.
ReplyDeleteWe've had almost 4 inches of rain since Friday, record breaking for Newport at the coast. I'm about done with it.
"Snirt". We're a couple of months away from that state yet but we're expecting freezing rain tomorrow, so things will be skating rink-ey here as well for a few days. I hate that part of winter - let it get cold and stay cold until it gets warm for the summer.
