Taking a walk on the wild side

I have been in the forest almost every day since return from vacation. Completely APP-free, and unplugged, I walk, hike, and sometimes even run (well, short distance). Mileage is accumulating, and I am about to hit my distance goal for this year earlier than planned.

Seitdem ich aus dem Urlaub zurück bin, bin ich fast jeden Tag im Wald unterwegs, und das völlig ohne APPs, alle Stecker gezogen, gehe, wandere und laufe (über kurze Entfernung) ich auch gelegentlich. Es werden immer mehr Kilometer und so werde ich wohl mein gesetztes Jahresziel etwas früher erreichen als geplant.

I really appreciate being back in shape for a change, and I hope to be able to keep up strength and motivation to further improve my endurance. I am not looking to win any marathons (nor attend one, I am not that ambitious), but one day I'd like to leave for a walkabout that may last several days.

Ich fühle mich derzeit ziemlich gut in Form und hoffe, dass ich auch weiterhin die Kraft und Motivation finde, um meine Kondition weiter zu verbessern. Ich will keinen Marathon gewinnen (habe auch keine Ambitionen, an solch einem Event teilzunehmen), aber ich würde mir wünschen, dass ich irgendwann mal eine mehrtägige Wanderung unternehmen kann.
