As per 1st of August we will have a new home. We opted for a condo (what else...), but this time in a low rise building. Hence, not much of a view. Well, it has a garden view, that's something, and the lease also includes our own patch of garden to manage.
We already consider to pour concrete over and paint it green and put up a
car bike port instead... But in Germany, it is not very likely to get permission or this. So, we will have to rent a slot in a nearby parkade, as this particular patch is already taken by our neighbour.
As soon as we have the keys in hand renovations will ensue, meaning we hire a painter, and meanwhile go shopping for furniture...
Nearby stork spotting.
congrats ;-). It looks nice from the outside and I like the gardenspace (it looks like low maintenance because it is only lawn). But I know, not everyone is crazy about that. But at least you've found a place to live.
ReplyDeleteYAY to more great changes!
ReplyDeleteIt's always nice to finally have a place to call home! Enjoy your new home!
ReplyDeleteLooks like there's plenty of room for a good sized pole barn back there! Congratulations as your residency moves forward.
ReplyDeleteThey let you renovate and paint when leasing? That is nice. I am glad you found a place. Post more pics when you get in.
ReplyDeleteAt least the neighbour has a decent bike!
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new home! How long before you have access to your container?
ReplyDeleteGlad you found a nice place to call home. I am sure it feels good after being kinda homeless for a while.
ReplyDeleteThanks, guys for your kind comments. Things are progressing slowly. It will take another few weeks to get internet installed (Telecom owns the last mile, and they screw you whenever...). Getting the container might also take longer than expected as the freight forwarder seems to be busy with more important stuff...
