A Day without Sun

Saturday started out grey and colourless which was kind of alright, because the day was filled with the usual chores like house cleaning and grocery shopping. And so time went by until I lost patience with the tasks at hand, and the weather. It drizzled and the temperatures were around 7°C, not the kind of exposure you'd like to have when riding a two-wheeler of any kind. But I needed to get out and get away, to take a break from the routine. My first thought was that I just keep it to the valley level, but curiosity got the better of me. There are some farm houses offering accommodation, and since people often ask me where to stay in the area, I followed a sign uphill. It's quite beautiful. I kind of understand why people might want to spend their vacation here.

Hill climbing will never become a favourite pastime of mine, hence I stopped for pictures (and to recover my breath...) every so often.

  1. It looks like a real peaceful place to loose one's self in their thoughts. Even those dark clouds didn't take away the natural beauty.

  3. I am glad I am not the only one that uses photos as an excuse to stop and catch my breath.

Sure are pretty photos. Such dramatic skies and such a beautiful area. I understand why you enjoy it there.
