No wait, photo first!
Also, we visited the local farmer's market and strolled along the various (weird) shops.

Enjoying the view
Small windy roads lead us to Eagle Harbor, the last highlight of today's trip before we entered the city limits and parted ways.
Definitely a perfect day for Crocs!
Yellow crocs - a perfect match for Nella!
ReplyDeleteI laughed out loud when I saw them.
Beautiful day and wonderful scenery. Great pictures. I particularly like the Main Street and Eagle Harbor shots. BC really is a beautiful place. I can't wait 'til our road trip next month.
ReplyDeleteAlso, I'm glad to see that Bob is back up and around.
Looks like a beautiful trip. All that sunshine, yellow Nella, yellow crocs - looks pretty cheery- it's been cloudy and rainy here for a week so it was good to read your blog this evening.

@Gary: Aren't they beautiful?
ReplyDelete@ Richard: Looking forward to meeting you, too.
@ Karen: It was the first day with constant nice weather, and we enjoyed it to the max...
Beautiful scenery, and great weather too! Some very interesting things you found at the market. The third from last photo with the scenery and crocs...now that's the perfect way to enjoy a view.
ReplyDeleteAwesome photos! I was just over at Bobskoot admiring the pictures and these are incredible as well. Hum, I wonder if a trip to Canada needs to be in my future!! Love the crocs too.
ReplyDeleteDear Sonja:
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful ride you must have had that day! I have been through Squamish a few times (as my girlfriend owned a condo in Whistler), but never on my bike. As I said to Bob S. earlier today, I find Squamish preferable to Whistler. Your yellow BMW adds both color and dignity to Bobskoot's ride reports. I belong to a secret society dedicated to the persecution of pink crocs. We would be willing to pay top dollar if you'd steal just one of Bob's and send it to us. (It will be recycled into fishing lures in Key West.)
Fondest regards,

@bluecat: I believe it is Bob who makes me look at things with a different angle ;-) Indeed it was a lovely day.
ReplyDelete@helmetorheels: (I love your blog title by the way) If your future plans consider a trip to the we(s)t coast let me know, and you get a trip advisor or a tour guide for free ;-)
@Mr Jack R.: Thank you for stopping by and leaving a message. I am honored. Indeed I agree with you, Squamish has a lot more natural charm and spirit.
I am not sure that I can risk my wonderful relationship with my riding buddy though and acquire his pink footwear, although the offer is very tempting, since my budget has become ever so little since I have this new bike.
Sonja, so glad to see you're taking such good care of Bob ... even the emulation of footwear -:) I see your Crocs match your bike ... wonder when Bobskoot is going to repaint his bike to match his Crocs!
ReplyDeleteThat road to Squamish is indeed delightful. Never ridden it on two wheels, but can sure imagine how nice it is. Especially now that it has been improved for the Olympic Games.
@Chuck: I would like to see the Wee in pink, but if he ever considers repainting, it might just be yellow... because he really like the color of my bike...
ReplyDeleteSonjaM / Chuck:
ReplyDeleteYes, I just love Yellow. Then I would have to steal someone's yellow crocs to match. Maybe I could do a switcheroo, wonder if Sonja would notice if one side was Pink

@Bob: If you play nice, I might just borrow you one of my yellow crocs ;-)
ReplyDelete@Sonja, don't do it. Bob is mixed up enough as it is -:)

ReplyDeleteChuck, butt out. I was just dreaming of my new colourful crocs. Left ones Pink, right ones Yellow. Keep July 15th open for late coffee break in Seattle area
