Happy Hallowe'en

The little monsters, vampires, ghosts, super heros and princesses in pink tricking or treating the city are an all present reminder what time of the year it is: scary time!

Browsing the net for a suitable motive for today's posting I came across Pamela Shanteau's website featuring a Jack-o-lantern/skull airbrush artwork on a Harley Davidson. Thanks to Pamela who allowed me to spice up my blog with her artwork!

Although not the biggest fan of this specific motorcycle brand, I have to admit that Harley's are probably the coolest motorcycles for airbrush, or can you imagine such an awesome picture on my Nella, and besides where the heck would I put it?
Look how far I am gone, I am thinking about Harley's now... Nella I miss you very dearly. Please come back soon...

  1. I feel sorry for you. Knowing the space where Nella normally stands is empty. I hope you are re-united soon.

  2. I don't know, airbrushing the Pelican cases has been done before...

When is the projected delivery date?

  3. @Gary: Thanks for your sympathies. The empty spot in the garage breaks my heart.
@Richard: The cases are a no go. Where else would I put my travel stickers? I have been told that Nella will be fixed in 3 to 4 weeks.

  4. Dear Sonja:

I simply cannot uynderstand the delay on the part of your dealer. This is getting to be the quiet time in the showrooms and it seems to me that there isn't anything part that can't be overnighted.

Sorry for your anguish... Hope you're walking better.

    Fondest regards,

  5. I agree with the notion that HD's have some great canvas for airbrush art. Some of the tank displays I have seen in the HD stores were wonderful. And not all of them were skull and crossbones. :) Hope Nella comes home soon! -Lori

  6. @Jack R: I have been told that the shop is not the fastest in execution, that might cause delays more than the actual shipment of parts. However, they are known to do excellent work, and that's why I chose them... I just need to be patient, not one of my virtues obviously.
@BeemerGirl: Lori, usually I like the kind of airbrush style better that Gary (http://garysusatour.blogspot.com/) has on his Harley, but hey, it's Halloween ;-)

  7. Pretty cool looking jack-o-lantern. Some of those custom paint jobs are fun to see. Back in the day it was custom paint on vans. Those vans were very popular, and not just for the art! ;)
