Needless to say that the best way to keep in shape is to actually go out and exercise. After a long work week sans daylight leisure time it felt good spending some time in the outdoors. Temperatures were around the freezing point but we were properly dressed for the occasion. Aside from a couple of people walking their dogs we had the trails all to ourselves. After this little tour we rewarded ourselves with a long hot shower and a steaming pot of tea. Life is good!

Winter Training
DeleteYou're looking disgracefully fit Sonja! You're shaming me into getting the mountain bike out but unless it's at 0600, it's a bit too hot at present!
ReplyDeleteLovely photos!
Thanks, Geoff. As a matter of fact, I should do even more but time (and weather conditions) doesn't allow for it right now. Too hot...? Currently not an issue in our neck of the wood ;-)
Deletenice motion effect on the first pic....looks like mild winter conditions over there....
ReplyDeleteThanks, Dom. It adds a bit of dynamics... still lacking in that department when cycling uphill.
DeleteKudos on braving the cold! It does feel good to get out and move once you're bundled up and ready for what the weather gods throw at you. Your photos are beautiful. You have lovely scenery there, but you also have a good eye for photography.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kari, it's not so much me, but my next generation Sony Cybershot, a camera for dummies ;-)
DeleteIt sounds like a delightful day! I also really like the first photo. You should have a post on how it was done for us photo novices...
ReplyDeleteThanks, Richard. It turned out to be a great afternoon, yes. Explaining stuff? Me? I don't even understand most instructions, let alone write them ;-)
