After last week's failure I used the Saturday night football match to settle the score between me and the hill. And it went well, so well that I even conquered another one. Of course there were small breaks in-between but the views were too spectacular to ignore (and I needed to catch my breath anyway).
Nach meinem fehlgeschlagenen Versuch von letzter Woche nutzte ich den Fußballabend am Samstag, um die offene Rechnung zwischen mir und dem Hügel zu begleichen. Diesmal flutschte es so gut, dass ich mir noch einen weiteren vornahm. Natürlich musste ich zwischendurch immer mal Pause machen, aber die Ausblicke waren auch zu schön, um sie zu links liegen zu lassen (außerdem musste ich ja irgendwann mal wieder zu Atem kommen).
There were still thunderstorms in the forecast, and my weather app warned me occasionally, but the storm never came. The clouds looked quite threatening though.
Es gab immer noch Gewitterwarnung, und meine Wetter App warnte mich gelegentlich, aber es blieb friedlich, obwohl die Wolken ziemlich bedrohlich aussahen.
The weather conditions made for an excellent light, and I thought to myself: what a wonderful world. It was peaceful and quiet, and well worth the labour of uphill pedalling.
Die Wetterbedingungen sorgten für ein phantastisches Abendlicht, und ich dachte so bei mir, was für eine wundervolle Gegend. Es war friedlich und ruhig. Dafür strampelt man (Frau) doch gern den Berg 'rauf.
The downhill race took a few minutes only, or so it felt after the rather long uphill battle. In the last picture I am almost back home in the valley again.
Nach dem vergleichsweise langen Anstieg ging es in wenigen Minuten wieder den Berg hinunter. Hier bin ich schon fast wieder zu Hause im Tal angekommen.

Also ich bin immer wieder begeistert, dass du dich trotz dieser Berge immer wieder auf's Rad schwingst. Mit meiner Motivation wäre das wohl nicht so weit her.
ReplyDeleteCooler Header. Ist das bei euch gegenüber oder hast du deine Gefährten alle da hin gebracht, also da hin gebracht natürlich, aber nicht so mal eben auf die andere Straßenseite gestellt?
Ich hab' ja keine Wahl, Irina. in meinem Tal geht es nun mal an drei Seiten bergauf... Der Header ist aus vier Bildern zusammen gebastelt. Gar nicht mal schlecht, oder?
DeleteExcellent light indeed, Sonja: Those are super photos! I'm especially taken with the 7th and 8th ones (I've always been a sucker for roads vanishing into the distance--they have stories to tell).

Thanks, Ry. The same goes for me, I love those tracks going somewhere, anywhere. The header is indeed stitched together, I found the previous one too boring ;-)
