| 'tis the season |
After a lesser than good start into the year with another involuntary sojourn in hospital things were looking brighter as the year progressed. We mad good use of the region we live in and the proximity to the Alps, where we spent most of our free time hiking and exploring.
Nach einem eher nicht so tollen Jahresbeginn mit einem weiteren unfreiwilligen Aufenthalt im Krankenhaus wurden die Dinge dann im Jahresverlauf wieder besser. Wir machten ausgiebig Gebrauch von unserem Stand- / Wohnort und verbrachten unsere freie Zeit oft zum Wandern in den Alpen und dem Alpenvorland.

Distance by motorcycle (including commuter mileage): meagre 700 kms - this is in need of major improvement... Distance hiked: over 1,200 kms, maybe I can top this next year.

Auf dem Motorrad und Roller habe ich dieses Jahr nicht mal 700 km zurück gelegt, das muss ich nächstes Jahr mal wieder ändern. Dafür war ich aber über 1.200 km zu Fuß unterwegs, das will ich auch in 2018 erreichen. Wir freuen uns schon auf ein gesundes und aktives Jahr 2018. Euch da draußen wünschen wir ein Frohes Fest, schöne Feiertage und einen Guten Rutsch ins Neues Jahr.
