After what felt like an Alberta winter, Spring has made its long awaited appearance in the Black Forest. From one day to the next the trees were 'exploding' with colour. With Sonja currently incapacitated Roland took it upon himself to explore the valley on his Diamant bicycle.
The Diamant is not really a mountain bike, and not made for hill climbing anyway, however it was the weapon of choice. The route certainly wasn't an easy one, and was felt in every muscle after this long and (all too) lazy winter break.
wow, quite a ride :-). Spring looks awesome and hope you can enjoy it a bit more. What happened to Sonja? Hopefully she is alright pretty soon.
ReplyDeleteSonja is fine, she had a little surgery in her right leg, but she is walking a lot already and should be back on the bike in no time!

Spring is literally exploding right now. So beautiful! And very much awaited. Winter has been quite long this year...

ReplyDeleteIt will take a while until Sonja can ride a bike again, but she hopefully will be ready for her motorcycle soon. Let's keep fingers crossed!
