It turned out to be of those days that you just want to keep on riding until it's getting dark, and you're worn out, and only stop for food, or gas, or well, you know what else…

Frühstücks-Club
Wieder einmal waren wir bei unserer Lieblingsbäckerei s'Moccacino in Wolfach zum Frühstück. Das Beste an der Bäckerei ist (neben einem guten Angebot an Backwaren, Café-Variationen und Teesorten) ihr Standort. Wir haben nämlich drei mögliche Anfahr-Routen, die jeweils knapp eine Stunde lang sind und ausnahmslos wunderschöne Fahrstrecken bieten (oben 'rum, unten 'rum oder über'n Berg). Heute konnten wir unser Glück fast gar nicht fassen, hatten wir doch schon wieder Vespa-Fahrwetter. Gut, es war nicht wirklich warm, aber weniger als drei Grad wurden es nicht, und so sind wir mit unseren vier Lagen ausreichend warm eingepackt gewesen. Es war einer dieser Tage die kalt und neblig anfangen und dann immer schöner wurden. Einer dieser Tage, an denen man immer weiter rollern möchte, nur unterbrochen von Ess-, Tank- und P-Stopps.
Looks like a good day of riding to me.....in balmy conditions too!

ReplyDeleteAh, we had warmer temps +9C ... but not a clear, ice free road in sight. Love the artsy shot. Heated gear, no Michelin man effect ;-)

ReplyDeleteSonja, Roland, it's great to have riding weather this far into winter. With the days getting longer bit by bit there is a chance you'll be able to ride right through.
ReplyDeleteAnother heated gear convert though if I were riding farther afield, I wouldn't want to rely on it.

ReplyDeleteIt's been fairly warm here too. I thought of you yesterday as we went past Swan-e-set Bay Resort. Roads were clear but pouring rain. No ice nor snow though.
You should try heated gear, it will make you more comfortable
