You know, that's interesting... When I first saw these pics, I thought something along those lines: In your current photo you seem to possess a comfortable confidence that you hadn't yet earned back then. And though I guess that stands to reason, it doesn't always prove true--plently of people labor for a lifetime and never gain the confidence they seek.
Du hast in 20 Jahren gelernt zu lächeln ... aber das ist auch schon der einzige Unterschied ... äääh ... wenn man mal von der Frisur absieht. Aber gut, das war in :-D
Twenty years on and a look of greater contentment. You may feel restless, but having goals and reaching them are two different things. I'd say you can reach them now.
Martha, change will always be a part of me. Some might call it restlessness (my mom does for sure) but I call it curiosity. My goals are now set towards health and happiness. That's all one really needs... everything else then seem to fall into places...
Proof that a picture is worth a thousand words. What a fun blog post, Sonja.
ReplyDeleteSo, which you do you think is more badass?
Ry, I might habe been a badass-wannabe chick back in the day. Today I am just content and happy to be able to ride a bike.

DeleteGreat then and now shots!
ReplyDeleteThanks Dom, maybe there'll be another shot of me on a bike some twenty years down the road ;-)
DeleteI love the leather pants with the lacing up the seam. Very Hot! :)
ReplyDeleteI loved those, they were pretty cool looking but not very weather resistant...
DeleteWere the 20 years that "odd"?
ReplyDeleteNot all of it was odd...
DeleteI guess there were some "even" ones too?
DeleteNow that you say it...

ReplyDeleteFunny, da sagst Du was Wahres. Danke für die Blumen, die heutige Frisur gefällt mir persönlich viel besser!!!
DeleteNot much has changed in 20, riding is wonderfully still riding. Now for the next 20!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Coop. Working on it ;-)

DeleteStill as gorgeous as ever.
ReplyDeleteAnd, by the way, we have the same hair style now!!
Thanks (*blushing*), Brandy. Show me your hair, I need to see this.
DeleteI don't have an decent pics yet but can probably send you one on Facebook.
DeleteI guess then it was about the clothes.
ReplyDeleteMichael, I was never one for fancy clothes. And with regards to moto gear I didn't have that many options back in the days...
DeleteTime flies, fashion changes, but the important thing is you're still riding. Now for the next 20.
ReplyDeleteThanks Canajun, may the powers-that-be grant me the necessary mental and physical strength to do so.
DeleteGod lord, you don't like those lace up leather pants? Jeans are standard wear. Leather pants u fortunately no longer are. More's the pity.
ReplyDeleteThose laces make funny patterns on your skin if you fall on them. Today's riding gear is leathers sans the laces ;-)
