  1. Proof that a picture is worth a thousand words. What a fun blog post, Sonja.

So, which you do you think is more badass?

    1. Ry, I might habe been a badass-wannabe chick back in the day. Today I am just content and happy to be able to ride a bike.

    2. You know, that's interesting... When I first saw these pics, I thought something along those lines: In your current photo you seem to possess a comfortable confidence that you hadn't yet earned back then. And though I guess that stands to reason, it doesn't always prove true--plently of people labor for a lifetime and never gain the confidence they seek.

    1. I loved those, they were pretty cool looking but not very weather resistant...

  4. Were the 20 years that "odd"?

  6. Not much has changed in 20, riding is wonderfully still riding. Now for the next 20!

  7. Twenty years on and a look of greater contentment. You may feel restless, but having goals and reaching them are two different things. I'd say you can reach them now.

    1. Martha, change will always be a part of me. Some might call it restlessness (my mom does for sure) but I call it curiosity. My goals are now set towards health and happiness. That's all one really needs... everything else then seem to fall into places...

    1. Michael, I was never one for fancy clothes. And with regards to moto gear I didn't have that many options back in the days...

  10. Time flies, fashion changes, but the important thing is you're still riding. Now for the next 20.

    1. Thanks Canajun, may the powers-that-be grant me the necessary mental and physical strength to do so.

  11. God lord, you don't like those lace up leather pants? Jeans are standard wear. Leather pants u fortunately no longer are. More's the pity.

    1. Those laces make funny patterns on your skin if you fall on them. Today's riding gear is leathers sans the laces ;-)
