| Rapeseed almost ready for harvest |
Being back on two wheels felt natural, and there was only little protest from my healing leg. Maneuvering the bike wasn't an issue, but I was glad for the option of the kickstand, as it proved a bit painful to bring the Vespa on its center stand. Note to self: more muscle build-up necessary.

Other than that, it was a rather uneventful ride nicely interrupted by a coffee/tea break at the local Farmer's market in Berghaupten. If you are in the area, it is just off B33 going east. Make sure to stop by, they have a great selection of regional produce, and homemade breads and cakes, and also provide hearty and vegetarian meals. Link here: Marktscheune.
I'm baaaack again!

Hooray for being back on two wheels. The farmer's market and coffee/tea sounds like the perfect break.
ReplyDeleteEven more so, plenty of plant food available!
DeleteGood pics for your ongoing "therapy" work.....
ReplyDeleteDom, is there any other kind of therapy?
DeleteGood news that you are healing and out rolling around. Springtime is a terrible thing to miss! Once again, your spring looks lush.
ReplyDeleteMartha, even more lush looking after the recent rainfalls.
DeleteIts an unworthy thought but as I struggled to translate the menu using Google's inadequate help I was thinking what an incredible time to be visiting with the USD/Euro at par. Six and a half Euro/Dollars for fresh German lunches seems an astonishing deal in such perfect countrywide.
ReplyDeleteNow is the right time for you visiting the old world. The FX rate won't get better than this, and bonus, you would really get a big bang for your buck.
DeleteGood news to hear that you are once again on two wheels. A castle as a hostel! Nice...
ReplyDeleteIsn't that a cool thing? It is pretty popular with the hiking and cycling crowds (and not necessarily for young folks only.)
DeleteYay. Glad you're back on the road. Pics are lovely. 😊
ReplyDeleteThanks Kari, I'll take it one step at a time.
DeleteYes! She's on the road again :-)
