The Second Encounter

On Anzac Day Roger offered me his farkled up gravel road companion. It was my first two-wheeled experience on New Zealand roads, and it felt like a dream come true.
We blasted down those Kiwi roads (well, Roger did anyway, and I tried my best to keep up with him...), and stopped only briefly, hence the selection of pictures is fairly small. Riding mattered more.
The master and his bike.
At the popular fish restaurant in Kaiaua Terry, Roger and I shared one of the traditional Kiwi classics, a big pile of fish and chips before we turned around.

Awesome of Roger to loan you a bike. I don't think I could get used to riding on the wrong side of the road. Everything would be backwards. Mmmm, Fish & chips, they looked good, I could go for some right now

    1. That was very generous of him. And trusting, too, given that I hadn't been on a motorcycle since last November (not counting Vespa riding).

  2. Awesome. I think you are all just having too much fun.

Good to see everyone meeting up and riding together though.

  6. I wish that I still went on "business" trips....

You must be pleased to be riding a proper motorcycle again?

    1. The downside of retirement, eh?

It was nice to be back on the thumper for change.
